A “bikefit” personalizes the angulations between segments (kinematics) based on the characteristics and needs of the cyclist. The kinematic angulations and the disposition of the cyclist with respect to the bicycle, as well as the solidity of the contact points, will have a major influence on the possibility that the direction of the forces when pedaling is optimal. ¿Why customize the Bicycle?

Manufacturers and stores offer frames of different sizes depending on the height of the cyclist, but there are additionally parameters that are not taken into account such as leg length, shoe size, tibial torsion, pedaling technique, pronations or supinations of the foot, flexibility, inclination of the trunk etc. All of these variables are very personal and impossible to quantify when purchasing a bicycle.
It is therefore necessary to personalize the bicycle to the user, varying the position of the components: height, forward and backward of the saddle, height and width of the rudder, rotation of the cleats, among others. ¿What is the Bikefitting process?

1. Installation of the user's own bicycle in a Simulator and Power sensor.
2. Take the bicycle socks before the exam.
3. Warm up for a few minutes at a moderate speed.
4. Placing reflective markers at specific anatomical points and performing several pedaling tests, all without intervening yet.
5. Analysis of the results in 2D and 3D and beginning of adjustments to the bicycle. Carrying out new measurements with the adjustments made.
6. Take the bicycle socks before the exam.
7. Delivery of a report of the measurements both before and after the exam.
8. Follow-up with the client a few days later, to verify adjustments and feelings with the changes made.
